MetriQ does not go idle for some applications or files, most commonly Excel.

Verify that if the cursor is hovering over the spread sheet, that MetriQ does not go idle, but if the cursor is hovering anywhere else, then MetriQ does go idle.

If this happens, you have some spyware on your computer that is triggering activity on the spread sheet when it detects the file open by seeing the mouse on the sheet.

Run a spyware check and remove all spyware from your system.
