MetriQ KB

We will be billing on the half hour. So if I work for 20 minutes on a project - I need to reflect the billing for 30 minutes of time used.

MetriQ works in either h:m:s or units, where a unit is a client defined value. The default value for a unit is 6 minutes, and means that MetriQ will log 1 unit for every six minutes worth of timing from an icon. Because a unit represents a rounding up from the h:m:s display, using an icon for any value less than 6 minutes will also mean 1 unit worth of time will be logged and displayed in the reports and invoices.

For example timing on a software package for 0:1:33, MetriQ will display this as 1 unit. However, timing a software package for 0:8:25, MetriQ will display this as 2 units (assuming a 6 minute unit).

To change MetriQ to work in Units, or to change the number of whole minutes that make up a unit, choose Settings > Options from the main menu in the MetriQ.
