Here are 2 ways to get MetriQ to start automatically when your computer starts or re-boots.
1. Add the MetriQ launch icon to your Start Folder. This method works reasonably well, although will not work if users log off and back on again. This icon can also be easily removed by users, so removing this functionality.
2. A better more robust way is to download the following MetriQQuickBoot.reg file. Simply double click the file to have Windows merge the registry setting contained by the file. MetriQ will then autostart the next time you re-boot your computer.
Please Note: This file assumes MetriQ was installed into the default location on the target machine, which would typically be:
c:\Program Files\MetriQ\
As such, if you have installed MetriQ onto another disk or folder location, then the .reg file will need to be edited to reflect this change.
To undo the above, use this RemoveMetriQQuickBoot.reg file instead, and MetriQ will no longer start when the machine boots.
Note: Use the attachments listed below to download these either of these files onto your disk, or copy/paste the contents of these files into notepad and save as .reg files.
Once you have successfully download or created the .reg file on your disk, just double click to merge the data into your registry.
