Staff/Icon Transfer with MetriQ Time Tracking Software

Use the Icon Transfer tool to move icons from one computer to another.

All icons added to MetriQ are unique to the staff member who added them, and the computer they were added to. Moving these icons to a different computer may be necessary if:

Your disk crashes and you need to re-install MetriQ
You move office and are given a different computer
You upgrade your old computer

To use the tool, locate the directory in which you installed MetriQ on the target computer. Find the Tools Folder and double click the StaffTransfer.exe tool. Login in with your username and password, and press the Transfer All Icons button. MetriQ will tell you how many icons have been successfully moved.

Note: If you commonly use many different computers throughout the working day, then caution is advised using this tool as All of your Icons from all computers will be transferred to machine you use the tool on. You can of course use this tool as a 'follow' me tool, telling MetriQ that where ever you go, update icons relative to the computer you are on.

Problem: I can see the icons, but the icon image is different or cannot be opened: This may happen if you try to transfer an icon from one machine for which the underlying software used is not available on the target.
