Registering your Copy of MetriQ

We recommended that you register your copy of MetriQ, electronically or by mail as soon as it is installed. A period of grace (20 days) is normally allowed after payment is made so that you can continue to use MetriQ if for some reason there is a delay in the registration process, or receipt of registration details. After registration, the validation process unlocks MetriQ when payment for the license has been verified and processed.

There are 2 different ways for you to register and validate MetriQ. The first uses a registration/validation application built into MetriQ. A secure connection across the web registers your personal details onto our registration server. On receipt of payment MetriQ will automatically validate and unlock itself for the paid duration of the license. The second option is for those who would rather track the registration process manually.

How to Register MetriQ -(Automated): Start the Auto Register application by choosing Start All Programs> Programs > MetriQ > Tools > Auto-Registration or from the main menu of MetriQ (Help > Registration > Auto (recommended), see also Auto-Registration).

To register your copy of MetriQ, fill in the required fields and press the register button. Your details will be sent via a secure Web connection to our registration server. On successfully registration MetriQ will be ready for validation on payment of the license fee.

The validation button can be pressed at any time to check if payment has been made. If it has, MetriQ will unlock for the duration of the license. In addition, the Allow Auto-Validation at Logon check box can be used to allow MetriQ to check for validation every time you logon.

Proxy Settings: If you need to pass through a proxy server prior to accessing the Web, use the proxy settings button (on the tabbed folder on the Auto-Registration Application) to configure MetriQ prior to registration and validation. You will need the location of your proxy host (either a full web address or dotted ip address, a user name, password and port number). Your network support should be able to help you make the necessary changes ready for validation (see also Terms and Definitions).

High Volume Registration: For sites with repetitious registration requirements, use the menu File > Export Registration Details As... option to save the current settings to a text file. On a different machine use the menu File > Open Registration Details to open the newly saved registration file. All of the registration fields will be completed automatically except serial number which must be unique for each machine.

How to Register MetriQ -(Manual): To register your copy of MetriQ, complete the on-line registration form found at:

Use the copy button to copy the PCID to the clipboard ready for entering on the MetriQ On-line registration screen described above.
