Manual Update with MetriQ Time Tracking Software

Use the Manual Update tool to change the time on an icon. To open, right click an icon and from the context menu and choose Manual Update, or from MetriQ's main menu, choose Actions > Icon > Manual Update.

Buttons:

	Add Time: Add time to the current icon value.
	Remove Time: Delete time from the current icon value.
	Delete Row: Delete the currently selected time record.
	Delete All: Delete All timing for this icon.
	Icon Log: Open the Icon log screen.
	Okay: Close this screen.
	Help: This help document

Date:
Enter any date for which the manual update is to apply. MetriQ will allow you to manually enter time for past and future dates for known events such as personal holidays, travel,etc.

Time Tab:
How time entry is shown, will depend if you are using MetriQ in H:M:S format or Units, determined by your MetriQ settings (see also Options).

Time Tab: (Units Mode)
When in Units mode, enter the number of units you wish to Add or Remove. Press the Add Time button to add units to the Icon's total time or press the Remove Time button to remove units from the Icon's total time.

Time Tab: (HMS Mode)
When in hms mode, enter the number of Hours, Minutes and Seconds that you wish to add or remove. Press the Add Time button to add this time to the Icons total time or press the Remove Time button to remove time from the Icon's total time.

NOTE: MetriQ WILL allow you to enter negative time values for an Icon. This allows you to manually update client timing data, perhaps offering discounts for a certain Folder (see also Tutorials)

Quick Add:
Use the quick add facility to quickly add the time you need, without having to press the Add Time button.

MyDay: The MyDay button will quickly add 1 complete working day to the Icon. The number of hours calculated for MyDay are the contract hours of the user doing the update, divided by the number of days set for the Folder as determined by the Folder's Profile (see also Staff Database and Profiles).

Use the QuickList to quickly add time ranging from 5-55minutes in HMS mode or 1-9 units in Unit mode. As with MyDay, you do not need to press the Add Time button.

Cost Tab:
The Cost tab extends your ability to update an Icon's time based on Cost. When entering a cost value, MetriQ calculates the equivalent amount of time based on the Role (and hence pay rate) of the user making the manual update. So if your charge rate is $50/hour with overtime of $100/hour, then a cost value of $2100 will add 41 hours of time. See also Tutorial 23.
