Each timing icon has a property sheet
with a number of parameters that outline the behavior of the icon. To
access the property sheet, Select an icon from the User Folder right
click the mouse button and from the drop down menu Chose >
Properties
| Icon Name: |
The
name that will appear on the User Folder Panel. Try to use short
names as truncated names show up with three dots ... at the end. |
| File Path: |
The name of the
associated software package opened by the timing icon when the icon
is double- clicked. |
| Arguments: |
The name of the
file to be opened by a associated software package. |
| Working Dir: |

for the associated software package opened by the timing icon. For
example Microsoft Notepad may have the directory C:\Temp as its
working directory. When the timing icon for Notepad is launched,
File>Open will start in C:\Temp. |
| Comment: |
Text field. |
| Icon File: |
The
file used to retrieve the images used by the timing icon icon.
Note: If you would
like your Timing Icon to share the same icons as those used by other
software packages, just point the icon-path to the .exe or .dll
file that you know contains the icons you want. |
| Window Style: |
When a software
package opens, it can open to normal size, minimized size (iconized
on the task bar) and maximized ( full screen). |
| Icon Index: |
The index of
the image used by the icon. |
| Mark As Favourite: |
Check this option if you wish this
icon to appear in the Favourite Icons tool (see Favourite
Icons). |
| Share With All Users: |
When <Shared>,
this icon will also be placed onto the same User Folder of all staff,
as long as that the underlying software package or file is accessible
to that staff and their computer. You must also activate this feature
from the Settings > Options screen (see also
Options) for
each of the computers that are to use this feature.
Example: If you 'share' Windows NotePad.exe then when a user logs
on, a search for this file will begin. If found, a new icon on the
selected User Folder will be added. If the application/file cannot
be found, nothing will be added to the User's folder.
|
| Auto-Open at MetriQ Logon: |
When checked, MetriQ will automatically
start the application/file associated to the timing icon. Note: Only
one instance of an executable can be used with this mode, and only
those icons on the last used User Folder are opened. |
| This icon is Billable: |
Choose if the timing for this icon
is to appear as billable in Reports (see also Reports).
Note: When adding a new icon, if the User Folder
to which the icon is being added to is non-billable, the icon will
also be non-billable. This setting cannot be changed until the User
Folder is made billable again (see also User
Folder Profiles). |
