Note: the term the "target software package" refers to the type of plugin used. So if you are using Accountants Office, the target software package will refer to Accountants Office.

Discovering New Windows

If a sub-window is opened in the target software package, AND MetriQ detects that this sub-window has not as yet been assigned a work code (see the Work Code Associations tab in the Control Panel), then a Discovery window will open. You will be prompted to assign both a module name, and an associated work code for this window. Choose Ignore is you do not wish this window to have an association.

Once an association between a Modules sub-window and a work code has been made, when you move from one sub-window to another, MetriQ will automatically update the Postmaster's work code drop to reflect the work code associated with the previous sub-window, i.e. the sub-window you were previously working on, with an assumption that this represents a new post to the target database. Of course if you wish, manually selecting a different work code is still possible, or ignoring the post altogether.

	Save association: Between the chosen Module, the sub-window and work code.
	Ignore association: Between the chosen Module, the sub-window and work code.
	Cancel: Close this window without making an association.

You can edit or delete associations at any time from the Control Panel, on the Work Code Associations tab.
