| Start Postmaster: |
When
checked, the Postmaster will automatically start when MetriQ starts. |
| Use "Jobs": |
When checked,
the jobs drop down menu is visible in the postmaster and the time
sheet tab of the postmaster control panel. |
| Hide Postmaster captions: |
Show/Hide the button captions on the
Postmaster. |
| Auto Popup: |
When checked, the Postmaster will automatically
restore itself from the toolbar when a new application or window within
the target software is opened or brought into focus. |
| Fader: |
Use the Fader
to adjust the transparency of the Postmaster window. With zero fade,
the Postmaster window does not stay on top of all windows and can
be hidden from view by any other application. With a fade value
greater than zero, the Postmaster window will always stay on top. |
| Consolidate Daily Posts: |
When checked, multiple times for a
particular client, job and work code for a given day will be consolidated
into a single record. When un-checked, each new post will create a
new time sheet entry ready for committing, regardless of the accumulated
time. |
| Close Allowance: |
The accumulated
time closing an application after you have posted your work. If
the time value is below the Close Allowance, the time sheet is omitted.
Applies to both software applications and time away. |
| Time Away Allowance: |
If the accumulated
Time Away value is greater than this threshold allowance, then MetriQ
will not close until this time has been posted or cleared. |
| Hide Postmaster to taskbar: |
The time interval before the Postmaster hides
itself to the taskbar. The Postmaster will automatically come
up from the taskbar when a new icon is opened, when an icon changes
from idle to active or when new sub-windows are opened within
the target software package. Note: Set to zero
if this functionality is not required.
|
| Don't Stop Timing: |
When this option
is checked, the Postmaster will continue to time regardless of icons
being used or not. The exception to this is when:
- The Control Panel is open
- The Plugin Options screen is open.
- The Re-direct screen is open.
- The User Folder is not showing (i.e. when a Folder or Task node
has been selected).
Note: When using this feature,
time will accumulate even when there are no icons running. As such,
there will be a timing discrepancy between the MetriQ's own data
logs which shows timing for icon use, and the timing committed to
the target software package. |
| Allow Automatic Work Code Selection: |
Check this option to allow MetriQ to
auto select a workcode that matches a given module window. The work
code selected will have the same number as the work code association
found by the Discover window as detailed below. |
| Allow Discovery Work Code Association |
Use the Discover window to add new
entries to associate a Module's sub-window with the target software's
work codes. When an association is created, and when a new sub-window
is opened, MetriQ will automatically select the associated work-code
for the previous window, assuming that the
previous window indicates where work has just been completed, ready
for a new post. |
| Database: |
The physical location of the target
software database. Choose from the drop down, one of the database
options available. |
| Keep Last Time Away Selection: |
When MetriQ goes into Time Away mode,
check this option if you'd like the Time Away Client, Job and Work
Code to remain as the previous selection, rather that the selection
currently displayed on the Postmaster. |
| Post Before Module
Change: |
There
are 2 different methods of posting your time.
1. Prior to changing modules
2. After changing modules
Check the box for Post Before Module Change if
you want metriQ to change the Work code in the PM to the module
you open. In this case you will click the post button BEFORE leaving
the module. This is more practical if the PM is left on top at
all times.
UN-check the box to have metriQ change
the Work code in the PM to the module you just left. In this case,
you would post your time for the work you have just completed
AFTER you enter the next module. This is most practical if you
have the PM pop up automatically as you change modules and then
minimize automatically.
