Setting Up MetriQ for the first time user with MetriQ Time Tracking Software

This simple tutorial will take you through all the necessary steps to getting MetriQ up and running for the first time. Repeat any part of these steps depending as often as you like. This tutorial is for Staff that have Full Administration privileges.

Logon:	Logon to MetriQ using Guest logon - or - press the escape key at the logon prompt.
Add new Staff:	Press the Staff button (opens the Staff Administration tool) and add your new staff members. Choose Full for their Administration level. Close when done.
Change Staff:	Go to File > Change User.
Logon:	Logon on as one of the new staff you have just created. Press Okay.
Create a new Folder:	From the main MetriQ window: Press the Wizard Button and select Top Level Folder menu option.
Fill in the Folder Wizard:	In the Wizard: Type in a name for your new Folder, and an ID if applicable. Press Next and then press Finish to close.
Add an Icon:	Select the Folder you wish to add icons to. Press the Windows start button to open the Program Manager. Left click the application you wish to drag onto your new folder. Keeping your left button pressed, drag the icon onto the right hand panel on the MetriQ window and release your button. A new Icon for this application will appear, ready for you to open. Note: When you start this icon for the first time, you will be prompted for your role on this new Folder. Roles define the charge out rate and is used in conjunction with how much time you have spent on a folder to calculate the total costs for your work. Double click the icon you have now added, and timing will begin.

The above tutorial is a simplified way of adding staff, creating a new folder and populating that folder with an icon. Each of these steps can be further optimized, and will form part of the other tutorials presented in this Help document.
