To whom it may concernIt often happens to me to be involved in projects and consultancy in the field of ICT, and I've tried for a long time to find a user friendly, robust and powerful application for taking track of the time I dedicate to my variegated professional activities. Some applications simply are too much involved, some others are too angry about memory and computational power, some others cannot be suitably customized. I was to the point of turning back to paper-based sheets when I finally have had the occasion of trying "MetriQ". It is a valuable application, very intuitive and powerful it really helps you in gathering and reformatting all the information you may need about the way you spend your time. It is light and fast and customizable. With few clicks you get exactly what you need. You can easily handle multiple projects in parallel and rapidly switch from one context to the other. The program has also a nice feature that enables it to check when you are away for a while from your work and asks what you want to do with the time you were away. I think it is a very good piece of SW and absolutely is worth a look. Try it, I recommend you.

I have MetriQ running on a 64 bit windows 7 computer. I do CAD work (drafting for several different companies). The great thing about MetriQ is that I can have a folder for each company I do work for, and under their folder I can create folders for the individual jobs. In the individual job folder I place the Icons that start the programs, most often “AutoCAD, and Adobe Acrobat”. I can program the Icon to open the drawing or file that is associated with the individual person I am creating drawings for. MetriQ takes care of tracking the time I spend working in the drawing file or in acrobat. MetriQ is making me money by keeping track of billing time and who I’m working for. I use to try to recall at the end of the day or the next day what or who I’d been working for.
