Version 8.2 Release Date: March 22 2010
Release Status: Major update

New Features:

March brings with it an important update for MetriQ as we move from the application being Elevated to non-Elevated, increasing MetriQ's appeal for Vista and Windows 7 users alike. With the new version comes the ability for users to now drag and drop icons directly from their Windows desktop straight into MetriQ and with the new Favourites window, allows for the ability to instantly decide if those icons are to appear on ALL User Folders or to be selective and choose specific folders with specific timing needs.

Of course being non-elevated, means that non-administrative users can also now use MetriQ which is available for both 32 and 64 bit Windows operating systems.

Version 8.1.0
Release Date: September 2009
Release Status: Major Update

We are pleased announce the latest release of MetriQ version 8.1 with a number of enhancements and product improvements.

  • Time Marshal: Ever conscious of the need for individual users to capture ever more time, we've added a means for you to track time, even when MetriQ is closed, and we've called this new feature, the Time Marshal.
  • In short, the Time Marshal is able to calculate the amount of actual billable time for which MetriQ has been closed. So for example if your working day is between 9am and 5pm, Monday through to Friday and you stop working at 4pm on a Friday afternoon, and begin work again on Monday at 11 am, MetriQ will prompt you to allocate the outstanding 3 hours to an appropriate Client/Project activity folder. Of course if you’ve been engaged in more than one activity, MetriQ will allow you to split that time into different Client/Project activity folders.
  • Time Marshal Dismiss Option: The time accrued by the Time Marshal is optional, meaning you get to chose if that time is to be allocated. However, we’ve also added a small software switch (Settings > Options) that will remove the ability to dismiss the Time Marshal without allocating the time accrued.
  • Time Away: Time Away is a popular feature in MetriQ that is activated when there is no keyboard or mouse activity on your work station. On activation, Time Away will monitor your absence, and when you return, will prompt you to allocate the outstanding time to an appropriate Client/Project activity folder. Again, if you were working on more than one activity, MetriQ provides the facility for you to split this time in the most appropriate way. However, in our latest version, you can also request MetriQ go into Time Away mode, even when individual software applications are not running from within MetriQ, increasing you flexibility and enhancing your time capture capability. See the Settings > Options page for more details.
  • Auto Insert Favourite Icons: Favourite Icons are used to quickly populate folders with your favourite software and document Icons. However, we’ve extended this functionality to include the ability for your favourite Icons to be added to empty Client/Project activity folders the moment you access that folder and without any further action from you.
